Death of my fleeting friend by Dr. Zaara

A poem about a woman who hears bad news about a friend who
fleetingly came and went in her life over the years
I heard the news
fleetingly came and went in her life over the years
I heard the news
It had spread like wild fire
It is still reaching one and all without any tire.
I felt disbelief . I felt a numb
It couldn't be true. I refused to feel blue.
It had been many moons since we spoke.
I don't even know why we didn't give each other a look.
Time had flown. Time had blown.
Time had run its race.Time had rest its case.
Its airs and its graces.
The monsoons had shown many tired faces.
Then I heard you were no more.
My heart for a second ripped and tore.
My mind felt a gripe and sore .
Where you truly no more?
My mind felt a gripe and sore .
Where you truly no more?
I recall there were times you were sad
you had your spirit broken and were life mad.
You threw on the mask. Effortlessly with little task.
and you showed the world you were busy at bask.
Sometimes I wondered. Other times I pondered.
Were you really a rock. Or were you refusing to mock
Were you ignoring your pain. I feel maybe so in vain
I didn't ever think you would be taken away
Maybe it was my naivety but I thought you would stay.
You were so young. You had so much talent.
You were a rough diamond. unpolished but tough and vibrant
Your light was a glimmer .Still to be abundant.
But as they always say .
Those that are the chosen
Rarely see the olden may.
I will think of you always
I may miss you more.
I pray you will be singing in the heavens
and may divine peace be your mainstay pleasant.
May gods fairies give you company.
May the keepers helpers keep you happy.
May the glittery pink and blissfulness be found
May you surpass all the restrictive and bound.
We will meet again one fine day
I promise I will be a better friend
When it finally happens
there will be no contrast in day.
No noire night. No distances at play.
There will be no ego. There will be no ploy.
There will be togetherness
and fleetingness will be at bay .
Alvida my friend until we cross paths again........
Alvida my friend until we cross paths again........
