About My CBT Therapy
I work with adults who are seeking a warm, empathic, and safe space to learn skills that empower them to take charge of their well-being. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a practical, evidence-based method designed to help you manage your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours more effectively.
In our sessions together, you will always be met with warmth, respect, and understanding. My role is to walk alongside you, supporting you in a process of self-discovery, reflection, and growth. You will be encouraged to be your authentic self, without judgment, in a confidential space where your needs and goals are always at the centre.
I believe reaching out for help is one of the bravest steps a person can take. If you are reading this, know that you don’t have to face your struggles alone.
About Me
I hold a Postgraduate qualification in Psychology and Psychoanalysis, and I am a fully qualified CBT Therapist. I currently work across both the private sector and the NHS, supporting people from all walks of life with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. This includes working with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, stress, and life transitions.
My experience within NHS Talking Therapies has given me a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, risk management, and structured treatment approaches. Alongside this, my private work allows me to offer a more personalised and flexible space, where therapy can be tailored to your individual needs and pace.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with a deeper, more reflective understanding of emotional experiences, drawing on my background in psychoanalysis. This means we not only look at present-day difficulties, but also gently explore underlying patterns, past experiences, and core beliefs that may be shaping how you feel today.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to be open, while also gently supporting you to challenge unhelpful patterns and move towards meaningful change.
I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, including those with long-term conditions, complex life experiences, and neurodiversity. I work at a pace that feels manageable for you, ensuring therapy remains supportive rather than overwhelming.
Above all, I believe therapy should feel human. It is not about being “fixed”, but about being understood, gaining clarity, and developing the tools and confidence to move forward in a way that feels right for you.

What You Can Expect
By working with me, clients often report:
Increased confidence in using CBT skills
A stronger sense of autonomy and resilience
The ability to become their own therapist, applying tools independently in everyday life
A clearer understanding of their thoughts, behaviours, and emotions
Greater self-compassion and empowerment in handling challenges
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Many people arrive unsure of what to expect, or wondering whether therapy will really help.
My aim is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and able to speak openly about what is going on in your life.
A calm and supportive space
Our sessions are a place where you can talk freely without fear of judgement.
Many people spend so much time holding things in or trying to appear strong for others. Therapy offers a space where you do not have to do that. You can simply be honest about how things feel.
Feeling heard and understood is often the first step towards meaningful change.
Understanding what is happening for you
Together we will begin to look at what may be contributing to the difficulties you are experiencing.
This might include exploring your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and life experiences.
Sometimes patterns develop quietly over time. Therapy helps bring these patterns into awareness
so that you can begin to understand them more clearly. When something becomes clearer, it often becomes easier to shift.
Learning practical ways to cope
Therapy is not only about talking through problems. It is also about learning tools and strategies
that can support you in daily life.
Depending on your needs, this may include learning ways to manage anxiety, respond differently to difficult thoughts, build confidence, improve emotional regulation, or cope with challenging situations.
These small skills can make a very real difference over time.
Developing deeper self-awareness
Through conversation and reflection, therapy can help you see yourself and your experiences from a different perspective. Many people discover strengths they had not fully recognised before.
Others begin to understand how past experiences may still be influencing their present. This deeper self-awareness often leads to personal growth and greater emotional clarity.
Moving at your own pace
Therapy is not about pressure or quick fixes. Everyone’s journey is different.
My role is to support you as you explore what matters to you and what changes you would like
to make. The work moves at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you.
Creating meaningful change
Change rarely happens overnight, but with patience, support, and commitment it is absolutely possible.
Therapy can help you build resilience, strengthen your sense of self, and move towards a life
that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with who you truly are.
Let’s Begin
If you are ready to take the first step toward positive change, I’d love to support you on this journey. Please feel free to message me with any questions or to arrange a session—I will be happy to hear from you.
Together, we can work towards building a stronger, more confident, and more resilient you.
